Professional Biography
Dr. P.K. Purohit is a Professor and Head of the Department of Applied Science, and currently serves as the Dean (School of Sciences) & Dean(Corporate and International Relations). His research expertise spans ionospheric studies, space weather effects on GPS, and polar research, including both Antarctic and Arctic studies.He has supervised 17 Ph.D. scholars in the fields of Physics and Electronics under the Faculty of Science and has published 91 research papers in esteemed national and international journals. Dr. Purohit has had more than 100 research papers accepted and presented at national and international conferences worldwide. Additionally, he is the author of five books focused on Antarctica. With over 34 years of experience in teaching, training, and research, Dr. Purohit is an esteemed member of various expert committees, including the AICTE and the Public Service Commissions of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.Dr. Purohit has represented his research and delivered talks across the globe, including visits to Antarctica, South Africa, USA , UK , Germany , France , Australia , Japan , Singapore, Mauritius, Malaysia, Russia (, Indonesia , Canada and Turkey .
