Corporate Partnership Initiatives

Let us collaborate for the motto:
“Innovate to Educate and Educate to Innovate”

Since 1965, NITTTR Bhopal has been working at the intersection of Pedagogy, Technology and Content knowledge areas and handled many projects sponsored by World Bank, UNESCO, Government of India, Industries and many other national and international agencies (www.nitttrbpl.ac.in). The Board of Governors (BoG) of the institute is headed by Shri. C P Sharma, Chairman, Daulatram Group of Industries, Mandideep, Bhopal.

One of the major strategies of the proposed Vision Plan-2036 of the Institute would be a renewed focus on academic and research programmes that shall promote specific-industry need-based skill development. As a strategy and part of the vision plan we have established a NITTTR-Siemens Center of Excellence in Digitization and Industry 4.0 to focus to develop higher order design and analysis skills and run the same in close coordination with industry stakeholders. A few more such centers are expected soon.

An overview of activities that are planned to promote industry collaboration, in the coming years, are given below:

A. DOCUMENTATION OF INDUSTRIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SHOP-FLOOR PRACTICES:

This is an in-house project taken to record and share industrial Knowledge and Practices of senior technical experts across the country. The aim of the project is to record, document and share the knowledge of senior industrial persons in:

  • Profile growth in industry and their contributions and innovation made
  • Development/adaption of specific technologies
  • Application of specific technologies in product development
  • Design and analysis aspects of specific technologies
  • Experience in fabrication and installation and operational and maintenance
  • Challenging technological and managerial issues solved
  • Identify problems those can be taken for research

B. INDUSTRY BASED RESEARCH CENTERS:

The aim of the project is to give due recognition to the R&D division of any industry as the Research Centre of the Institute and facilitate the Trainees of the Institute to get industry-oriented problems and give opportunities to the industry employees to convert their R&D works in research degrees.

C. INDUSTRY SUPPORTED CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE: (either industry-neutral or industry- specific) in the areas of common interest for conducting joint research and training programs.

D. Joint research and training proposals. Collaborative research in AI based Automation and Assistive Technologies for sponsored research by funding agencies like DST, DBT, CSIR etc.

E. Need-based Academic and Training Programmes and Conferences

F. Sharing of resources for mutual benefits.

G. Promoting spin-off out of Institutional R&D and Start-up Ecosystem in the region.

H. Sharing of knowledge of Industry experts in NITTTR Training and Academic programmes; Industrial training for teachers; Sharing of media, scientific and other facilities;

I. Establishment and expansion of partner networks.

J. Tailor made training for employees of industry in the areas of management, pedagogy, technology and content.

K. Industry internships/visits/Placement for trainees, teachers and students.

L. Joint academic programmes for specific industry requirements.

NITTTR Bhopal is very much interested in involving industrial experts in its regular Academic/Skill development and Research and Development programmes to share their experience, online or offline, with future graduates, by appointing them as:

  • 1. Chairman/ Member, Industrial Advisory Board
  • 2. Member, Academic Council
  • 3. Member of Boards of Studies
  • 4. Adjunct Faculty /Visiting Faculty
  • 5. Experts in Specific Programmes
  • 6. Member in Board of Industry Institute Interaction (BOIII)

In this regard, a team of faculty members from NITTTR Bhopal has been visiting various industries to identify the possibility of establishing cooperation in one or all the above mentioned areas. As a result within a very small span of time we have signed Letter of Agreement (LoA) with following industries:
