Extension Center- Goa

On 25th October 1999 NITTTR Extension Centre Goa started but became fully functioning only in June 2000 after the appointment of regular Coordinator. The extension centre was started from the scratch in just one room allotted by the directorate of technical education. Today we have been given by the Government of Goa spacious computer Lab cum classroom and office. Today the centre is independently conducting variety of programmes in all areas of content based to teaching pedagogy.

• The Centre has successfully cemented ties of NITTTR-Bhopal with Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa, and all the Technical Institutes of Goa State including close ties with Industry Sector through CII and Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).
• The centre started its activities with prime emphasis on Need Based Training Programmes for the State of Goa.
• It is maintaining close liaison in the state for the Faculty Development Programme and other Training Activities of NITTTR Bhopal.
• Extension Centre Goa is conducting Tailor made Faculty Development Programs in different areas of Technical Education, and content along with Industry Experts and Companies. Project Works are also taken to enhance the Quality of Technical Education system in the State.
• The motto of NITTR Extension centre Goa is “WE TRAIN TO EXCEL”
• The centre through a systematic Training Need Analysis develops and implements need based programmes for all the technical institutes in the state of Goa.
• The centre works in close contact with the Director of Technical Education and Principals and is involved in implementing NBA project which was just completed and curriculum project as per the needs and requirements of DTE Goa.
• First extension centre to have MoU with Government of Goa i.e. GEDC (Goa Education Development Corporation) to assist them in training Goa Government Staff under SPL (Skills and Productivity Labs) in the year April 2004.

Main Activities:

• Faculty Development Programs for Polytechnic Faculty Members.
• Faculty Development Programs for Engineering Colleges Faculty Members.
• Faculty Development Programs for Pharmacy, Architecture and Art College Faculty Members.
• Liaison with the Director of Technical Education and the Secretary of State Board of Technical Education and with NITTTR Bhopal for efficient system.
• Academic consultancy for Board of Technical Education of Goa State (BTE) in form of curriculum revision, NBA Projects as per specific requirements.

Infrastructure Facilities: This Extension Centre has good teaching learning facilities for achieving NITTTR Bhopals Mission and Vision, like spacious computer lab cum classroom with Audio-Video Presentation support, Coordinators Office and Faculty Room.
